We encourage you to visit us at either or both of our Community houses, to experience our monastic rhythms, to meet and talk with the Sisters, and to share in our life of worship. (First-time visitors may find this Frequently Asked Questions guide helpful.)
If you are in the Brewster, NY, area (about an hour north of NYC), we invite you to join us for worship and meals at Melrose/Bluestone Farm. Our schedule varies, given our farmwork and our need to adjust for changing daylight hours, so please contact us to let us know that you'd like to come by.
You are also welcome to make a personal retreat at Melrose/Bluestone Farm. There, you can enjoy miles of meditative walks through the surrounding forest, or walk along the banks of the nearby lakes. You may also wish to participate in the life and work of the farm, helping plant, tend, or harvest crops that nourish us year-round. St. Hilda's House recently moved to our new location in the Hamilton Heights area of New York City. We now live at the corner of 150th Street and Convent Avenue in a lovely new building. Once we have settled in (and all the dust has settled, literally!), we will resume inviting friends and neighbors to Evening Prayer and supper. That will probably be sometime after the first of the year.
Though we no longer offer overnight hospitality, we do recommend any of the following for those of you seeking overnight accommodations.
