Many women experience a sense that God may be calling them to a vowed religious life. Our Community helps these women seek God's guidance in discovering if the religious life in our Community is the life to which they are called. This is a process of discernment, and is a shared journey between the woman and the Community.
A desire to give one's self entirely to God is the first sign of a religious vocation. This life is a total stripping down and requires complete surrender of all attachment, so that one's body, mind and heart belong to God alone.
Basic requirements include age (in general we receive women between the ages of twenty-five and fifty, though younger or older women may be considered in some instances); education and life experience; health (emotional, physical and psychological); and freedom from constraints to entry (family obligations, dependent children, debts, etc.). A woman must also be a confirmed Episcopalian in good standing with her parish and diocese.
If you believe you may have a call to the religious life, please take a few moments to review our Inquirers' Brochure. You may also contact the Community Council for further information and guidance.
Whatever path you may follow, we wish you God's peace, mercy and joy as you travel.
